Study Groups

Dayspring is a men's study group which meets Wednesday mornings in Room 101 at the church, 7:00 to 8:00 a.m., to discuss books on comparative religion and new directions in spirituality. Members take turns leading the group and bringing the morning's snacks.

Women's Group

A study group for women meets Wednesday mornings from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. in the church Fireside Room for prayer, mutual support, and discussion of a book they have chosen. The discussion leaders rotate, and take turns bringing the morning's snacks.

C.A.R.E. (Chat and Religious Exchange) study group for women meets the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in members' homes to discuss the book the group is reading. C.A.R.E. does not meet in July and August. Each Christmas the group adopts a family through Friends Outside, providing staples and gifts.

Spirituality Group

The Spirituality Group meets every Tuesday from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the home of Mary Jane Deiranieh. The purpose of the group is to grow in spirituality through reading and discussion, and listening to good music. The last 30 minutes of each gathering are reserved for meditation.

Variety Book Study Group

The Variety Book Study Group meets the third Wednesday of each month (except December) at 7:30 p.m. in the church's Fireside Room for discussion of the month's book, along with refreshments. The book list for the following year is drawn up each September. The member who suggests the book also leads the discussion of that book.
